204 FACULTY OF THEOLOGY COURSE FOR ONLY Students who wish to read for the and who have not matricu- lated must take either the Preliminary Year course or else the examina- tion held in September see above which exempts from that course They will be examined as follows End of First Year-Ethics Latin Old Testament Introduction New Testament Introduction New Testament Greek Early Church Histpry Philosophy Elocution Hebrew optional Christian Worship Viva voce in Greek Testament End of Second Year-New Testament Introduction Greek Testa- ment Old Testament Introduction Philosophy Systematic Theology Early Church History English Church History Latin Viva voce in Greek Testament End of Third Year-Biblical Theology Greek Testament Christian Worship English Church History Philosophy Old Testament Set Book Latin Pastoralia Sermon writing Essay on some general Theological Subject Viva voce in Greek Testament All students reading for the must attend classes in Elocution and Music as prescribed by the Theological Professorial Board unless excused by the Dean Students may in special cases with the consent of the Theological Professorial Board vary tho above courses The final examination class-list will be arranged in two divisions Honours two classes and Pass Those who are reading for Pass may be excused examination in both Hebrew and Philosophy Those reading for Honours may be excused examination in either Hebrew or Philosophy student who does not give satisfaction in the Annual Examina- tions may be obliged to repeat one or more terms' work Students who are prevented by illness from taking any of their examinations are required to send doctor's certificate to the Dean and to write to the Professor or Lecturer who sets the paper They shall further appear before the Board at the beginning of the ensuing term and must be prepared for viva voce examination on the work of the past term -No student is allowed without special permission to sit for the final Examination and the Bishop's Examination for Deacon's Orders in the same term
