GENERAL INFORMATION 15 The work at King's College in connection with the University of London consists of the following University of London King's College Faculty of Arts -This includes Language and Litera- ture Classics English French German Italian Portuguese Spanish History Ancient Medieval Modern Central Europcanf Imperial and Colonialf Palawgraphy Geography Mathematics Philosophy War Studiesf Education Journalism ii Facidly of Laws -The classes fn Law are arranged by an intercollegiate scheme with University College and the London School of Economics iii Faculty of Natural Science -This includes Mathematics Pure and Applied Botany Chemistry Geography Geology Physics Zoology War Studies- iv Faculty of Medical Science -This includes Anatomy Bio- chemistry Embryology Histology Pharmacology Physiology Faculty of Engineering -This includes Civil Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering King's College Theological Department Complete courses at both day and evening classes are given in preparation for all theological degrees in the University of London In the Theological Department complete courses are also given for the Diploma of Associate of King's College London which is officially recognized as exempting from the General Ordination Examination Students preparing for ordination in the Church of England are required to take these courses The Council also provides classes in theology open to all students of King's College and King's College for Women TERMS In all Faculties the Session or Academic Year consists of Three Terms viz Michaelmas Term from the end of September or be- ginning of October to the middle of December Lent Term from January to the end of March Easter Term from the end of April to the end of June or beginning of July As the College and University Sessions begin together and the courses are continuous throughout the year it is important that all Regular Students should enter the College in the autumn COLLEGE OFFICE The hours of opening of the College Office are from 30 to daily except on Saturdays when the hours are 30 to 12 30 Courses marked thus are discontinued during the war There are no facilities for courses marked thus except by special arrangement
