150 FACULTY OF MEDICAL SCIENCE That he has passed recognised preliminary examination in general education That he has passed an additional examination or examinations conducted or recognised by one of the medical licensing bodies Note will normally be complied with by passing lst or the Conjoint Pre-medical examination or gaining exemption therefrom by Higher School Certificate Amongst the recognised preliminary examinations in general educa- tion are the Matriculation Examination of the University of London the Oxford and Cambridge School Certificate Examinations and the Senior Examination of the College of Preceptors The choice of Pre- liminary Examination will depend upon the particular Degree or Diploma for which the student proposes to read The Matriculation Examination of the University of London takes place three times year in January June and September Examinations are held by the College of Preceptors four times year viz in the months of March June September and December Note -Intending students are strongly advised to pass the Matriculation Examination of the University of London or its equiva- lent they will then on entering the College be registered as Internal Students of the University Note -Students reading for examinations other than those of the University of London may be registered as Associate Students of the University under conditions of which copy may be obtained in tho College Office STUDENTS' ATTENDANCES The Dean of the Faculty reserves to himself the right in cases where he is not satisfied with the attendances or work of any student in lectures practical classes or class examinations to refuse to sign the student's examination schedule student whose progress has been unsatisfactory may be refused re-admission to the College at the commencement of any term
