GENERAL INFORMATION 149 vantage of studying for their first three years in association with students of all faculties Subject to the approval of the Dean of the Faculty regular student of the College may take any one class not being laboratory class in any other faculty without extra fee It is desirable that students should enter if possible at the commence- ment of the Michaelmas term but arrangements can be made for the admission of Second Year students in January also SCHOLARSHIPS PRIZES AND CERTIFICATES Entrance Scholarships -At least one Warneford Entrance Scholar- ship of £30 year for four years and one Sambrooke Scholarship in Medical Science of £30 for three years are offered annually At the end of the First Year of study the Warneford Scholarship £120 the Rabbeth Scholarships £30 and £15 and the Hare Prize in Zoology are open for competition At the end of the Third Year the Hughes Prize in Anatomy the Huxley Prize in Physiology the Inchley Prize in Pharmacology the Pickering Prize in Biochemistry the Barbara Wigley Memorial Prize the Carter Gold Medal and Prize in Botany and the Jelf Medal are open for competition The Layton £150 and the Berridge £100 Research Studentships the Daniell Scholarship in Chemistry £40 the Warneford Prizes £25 and £15 Leathes Prize Barry Prize and others are also open to students of this Faculty The majority of the Scholarships and Prizes are open to Regular Students only The Worsley Scholarship for men or women who undertake to proceed to India as Missionaries on the completion of their course is also available For full details of Scholarships and Prizes see the appropriate section of the Calendar REGISTRATION AND ADMISSION OF MEDICAL STUDENTS As from September lst 1938 the medical schools are responsible for the registration of medical students with the General Medical Council Students beginning Anatomy and Physiology will complete special form to be obtained from the Dean of the Faculty which will be countersigned by him and forwarded to the General Medical Council The date of registration will be the date of commencing Anatomy and Physiology Conditions of Registration -Before registration as medical student every applicant must furnish evidence That he has attained or will within three months attain the age of eighteen years
