COURSES OF STUDY 137 Two of the following Public International Law or Constitutional Laws of the British Empire History of English Law Roman Law special subject and special portion of the Digest to be prescribed from time to time Mercantile Law special subjects to be prescribed from time to time Conflict of Laws Conveyancing or Succession Testate and Intestate includ- ing the Administration of Assets Law of Evidence Civil and Criminal Administrative Law or Industrial Law Muhammadan Law Note -Not all these optional subjects can be taken during the war The Final Examination will consist of an examination in five subjects of which the General Principles of English Law and Jurisprudence are compulsory subjects Candidates for the LL Examination who anticipate that their courses may be interrupted by approved National Service may be allowed after completing at least one year of the Final Course to offer either the following three papers General Principles of English Law the papers on Contract and Trusts English Land Law or one of the alternatives thereto paper or the following four papers General Principles of English Law papers English Land Law or one of the alternatives thereto paper Candidates who fail in one paper may at the discretion of the Examiners be credited with pass in the other papers The remainder of the examination may be taken on subsequent occasion or occasions provided that the prescribed course of study has been completed Candidates taking the examination in parts will be eligible for the award of Honours Entry Forms and Certificates must be returned to the Academic Registrar duly filled up and completed not later than the lst day of March preceding the Examination II -FOR HIGHER DEGREES For the Regulations and Curriculum for the LL Ph and LL degrees students should consult the University Regulations in the Faculty of Laws for Internal Students which may be obtained in the College Office
