CLASSES 109 Third Year At-Lectures Ae-Lectures netism hrs A7-Lectures A8-Lectures -Lectures Atomic and Nuclear Theory hrs Thermodynamics Advanced Electricity and Mag- Physical Optics hr Properties of Matter hr Principles of Telecommunications hrs Second and Third Years A1e-Practical work Students attend the above courses of lectures and the appropriate course for the subsidiary subject and spend the rest of their time in practical work Special consideration is given at present to practical work in the principles of Telecommunications The Wheatstone Physical Laboratory The Wheatstone Laboratory is open to students every day except Saturday for practical study and research in all branches of Physics Instruction is given in the Laboratory in the accurate measurement of physical quantities of all kinds and in the experimental verification and illustration of the principles of Physics The equipment of the Laboratory includes dark room for optical experiments workshop for the construction and repair of apparatus and large collection of apparatus including the Wheatstone Collection suitable for experimental work in all branches of Physics Research The Research Laboratories are open to properly qualified persons for purposes of research under the direction of the Professors Research work for the Sc degree the Ph degree and the So degree may be undertaken in the Laboratories
