58 scholarships and exhibitions of study for the First Examination for the Degree of the University of London The Examination will be held in May of each year There will be Written Examination in Divinity and in the sub- jects of the First Examination of the University of London No Practical Examination will be held but laboratory notebooks will be inspected and marks awarded accordingly One-fifth of the whole number of marks obtainable in the Examin- ation will be allotted to Divinity The Divinity subjects will be the same as those for the Warneford Medical Entrance Scholarships The holder of the Scholarship must undertake to take the subjects of the Final Examination at King's College Hospital The holder of the Scholarship is required to attend the weekly Lecture in Divinity for non-Theological Students and to pass such Examinations or other Tests in the subject of the Lectures as the Lecturers may from time to time require Before the payment of the emoluments of the Scholarship the Principal and Dean must receive Certificates on behalf of the Student of good conduct and satisfactory progress of regular attendance at the Divinity and Medical Lectures and Examinations 10 The Scholarship may be held with any other Scholarships at the College so far as the trusts of such other Scholarships permit except the Sambrooke Medical Scholarship iRabbetb iDebical Scbolarsbips Founded in 1885 by John Edward Rabbeth of Middleton Lodge Putney in memory of Samuel Rabbeth Lond former dis- tinguished Student of the School and Medical Faculty who sacrificed his life in an attempt to save child who was dying from diphtheria Two Scholarships one of £30 and one of £15 each for one year will be offered annually The Scholarships will be awarded to the Students who in their first year acquit themselves best in the Class Examinations in the Course for the First Examination for Medical Degrees in the University of London The payments will be made in three equal instalments provided the Student continues in attendance as Regular Student in the Faculty of Medical Science and produces to the Secretary at the end of each Term Certificate of good conduct and satisfactory progress signed by the Dean of the Faculty Sambroofte Scbolarsbip Scholarship of £30 per annum for three years will be offered annually to candidates entering the Faculty of Medical Science
