50 scholarships and exhibitions The Scholar if not student of the Theological Department must attend for three years the general lectures in Theology provided for all students in the College and pass the annual examinations He may however attend instead other lectures given in the Theological Faculty with the consent of the Dean The emoluments and all privileges of this scholarship may be forfeited if in the opinion of the Council the conduct of the Scholar or his work in Theology or in any other subject is unsatisfactory Applications accompanied by Testimonials should be addressed to the Dean of King's College Strand who will recommend the Scholar for election by the Council on the advice of the Joint Professorial Board II -FACULTY OF THEOLOGY Sambroofce Ejbibitions in XTbeologg Exhibitions not exceeding £20 in value arising from the Legacy bequeathed to the College by Thomas Godfrey Sambrooke are given at the discretion of the Dean to students of the second year in the Faculty of Theology who are in need of assistance ZTbeolocjical JEsbibitions anb Bursaries sum of money amounting to £500 year is granted by the Eccle- siastical Commissioners out of the City Parochial Charities Fund to students who are prepared to be ordained in the Dioceses of London Rochester Southwark or St Albans It is assigned as follows Six Exhibitions of £50 year to applicants from among the following -- Graduates of any University in the Empire Members of the Faculty who have passed the Intermediate Examination Five Exhibitions of £20 year to matriculated students of the University of London on the condition of their reading for the degree In the event of there not being sufficient number of candidates qualified for the above Exhibitions the balance may be used at the discretion of the Dean for granting Bursaries to Regular Day Students who are reading for the Candidates for the above Exhibitions must send in their names to the Dean on or before June 20th in each year HI -FACULTY OF ARTS Sambroofie Scbolarsbip in arts Scholarship of £40 per annum for three years will be offered annually to candidates entering the Faculty of Arts
