χπ annual report Knowling Prize Renwick McCaul Prize Junior Tweedy Proxime accessit-N Kelly Plumptre Prize Spratley Relton Prize Spratley Robertson Prize Turner Trench Prize divided Tweedy Kelly Whichelow Prize Hicks Proxime accessit-J Stephens Wordsworth Prize First-M Nott Second-R Emmerson Highly commended-R Birchett There were no entries for the Collins Prize and for the Senior McCaul prize Benefactions Living of West Mill Herts The Council has gratefully accepted the advowson of the living of West Mill in the Diocese of St Albans by the gift of the patron Mrs Grigg The parish is small and rural and within easy distance of London Bequest by Professor Dearmer In compliance with the wishes of the late Canon Dearmer Mrs Dearmer handed over to the College the whole of his library With the assistance of Professors Hardman and Tasker and Dr Shields 180 volumes were selected from the Theological section and are now housed in the Theological shelves of the General Library 120 volumes were sent to the Theological Hostel run of the Alcuin Club Publications of which we already possess complete set was at Mrs Dearmer's suggestion offered to and most gratefully accepted by the Liverpool Cathedral library In addition to the Theological section of Canon Dearmer's library there was considerable collection of historical literary and sociological works and valuable collection of art books The historical works have been assigned to the appropriate departments of the General Library of the College Owing to lack of shelf-space in the General Library the art books have been temporarily housed in locked cases in the gallery of the Anatomy Museum from which any volume or volumes required can be secured on application to the General Library Gifts of Books The Council desires to thank the following donors of books to the library The Bishop of Gloucester The Reverend Box Mme Arstae Darmsteter Mrs Greg Professor Oesterley Mr Power Mr Westlake Mr Wynne The Columbia University Press Glasgow University and the World Dominion Movement
