VU1 annual report added further £500 to this Fund During the year the Council made grant to the Theological Society of ten shillings in respect of each fee received on the granting of the Diploma and the amount to be paid to the Society in respect of the Accounts now under review is £13 10s Corporation General Fund Account -The usual sum of £350 was received from the Delegacy for rent of rooms leased to University of London King's College £465 4s lOd has been transferred from the Account to the Special Reserve Fund and the balance on the Account now stands at £441 9s 3d Theological Hostel Account -The financial position of the Hostel continues to be satisfactory and there is now credit balance of £466 15s 2d notwithstanding further heavy expenditure on Furniture and Replacements Hostel Building Account -No payments have been made into the Account during the year but several contributions have been made to the Centenary Appeal Fund and will be transferred to the Account in due course The debt accordingly remains at £1 755 15s &d Student Activities Throughout the year the Faculty of Theology has again taken its full share in College life Eleven students won full College colours five won half-colours and one won University colours The Captain of the Fencing Club and the Vice-Captain of Athletics were both from the Faculty The Faculty were well represented at the College sports and won the Faculty Cup One of the Faculty's runners was honoured by being chosen for the successful British Universities' team in relay race round Paris which the British team won Eight members of the Faculty held Union Society offices among them that of Hon Secretary The Faculty supplied the producer of the successful Commemoration Play and the leader of the orchestra The College representative in the De- bate at University College was member of the Faculty the Faculty was well represented at the Commemoration Debate the University Centenary Debate and the inter-university and inter-collegiate debates Missionary Campaigns were again arranged during the long vacation Twenty-eight members of the Faculty took part The campaigns took place at Worthing and at Sutton Surrey and were attended by success Satisfactory reports have been received from the diocesan authorities concerned The Anglican Society and the College branch of the Student Christian Movement have been active during the Session The President of each of these Societies was provided by the Theological Faculty Chapel In addition to the daily services there has been as in previous years Celebration of the Holy Communion every Wednesday morning in term At the opening service of each term the Chapel has been crowded to its utmost capacity Midday services have been held periodically
