ANNUAL REPORT Faculty of Theology First Class 13 Second Class as compared with sixty-four First Class 14 Second Class in the Session 1934r-35 Nineteen Diplomas were awarded in the Faculty of Arts and eighteen in the Faculty of Natural Science No report was made to the Central Advisory Council as no External Examiner was appointed Divinity Lectures The Divinity Lectures for members of other Faculties have been given by Emeritus Professor Rogers to Men Students and by the Rev Tasker to Women Students The numbers taking the examination after attending the courses were-Men 263 an increase of 21 on the previous year Women 146 an increase of On the results of the Examinations for the Non-Theological Diploma the following prizes were awarded Men Faculty of Arts Bradbury Faculty of Medical Science Rowan Faculty of Natural Science Skinner Faculty of Laws Garner Evening Clarke Women Faculty of Arts Miss Bailey Faculty of Medical Science Miss McKendrick Faculty of Natural Science Miss Winch Faculty of Laws Miss Κ Harding In the Session 1931-32 the number of Men Students attending the Divinity Lectures was 130 and of Women Students 51 The number of Men Students has been more than doubled and the number of Women Students nearly trebled in four years The numbers this year are record Public Lectures The fourth series of the Frederick Denison Maurice Lectures was delivered in the Lent Term by His Grace the Lord Archbishop of York to crowded audiences The subjects of the lectures were Personality in Theology and Ethics and The Ethics of Group Relations 1' The following Public Lectures have also been delivered during the Session Michaelmas Term 1935 course of Public Lectures arranged by the University The Apostolic Preaching and its Developments by Professor Dodd Rylands Professor of Biblical Criticism and Exegesis in the University of Manchester course of Public Lectures illustrated by Lantern Slides The Age of Transition from Judaism to Christianity was delivered by
