44 king's college london Beside these special collections there are the following departmental libraries Anatomy and Physiology Botany Chemical Engineering Chemistry Classics Education Electrical Engineering Engineering Civil and Mechanical French 10 Geography 11 Geology 12 German 13 Hebrew 14 History 15 Mathematics 16 Pharmacology 17 Physics 18 Psychology 19 Spanish 20 Zoology The total number of volumes in the General Library and other Libraries is approximately 86 000 RULES Hours During the College Term the Library will be open from 55 till 45 except on Saturday when it will close at In Vacation the Library will be open unless otherwise stated from 10 to 30 except on Saturdays when it will be closed The Library will normally be closed for week at Easter for fortnight in August and for week at Christmas It may also be closed for cleaning in Vacation for such periods as are necessary Borrowers Books may be borrowed by Fellows of the College Members of the Teaching and Tutorial Staff Regular Students of the College those Occasional Students who have received the permission of the Dean of their Faculty and have paid the Library admission fee Ā£1 Is per Session 10s 6d per Term Students of other Colleges in Faculties other than the Faculty of Laws attending classes in the College may borrow books on obtaining recommendation signed by the Head of the Department in King's College in which they are studying and paying deposit of ten shillings Students of other Colleges in the University Faculty of Laws are not allowed to borrow books from the College Library Rules for Borrowing separate voucher for each work borrowed must be filled in legibly and in ink and deposited with the Assistant in Charge but in the case of Departmental Libraries in which borrowers' register only is provided book must not in any circumstances be taken out of the Library until the borrower has entered it and signed for it in the register reader wishing to consult book already issued to borrower should make application to the Assistant Librarian
