38 kino's college london HALLS OF RESIDENCE -King's College Theological Hall Vincent Square Westminster Warden The Rev Professor Habdman Sub-warden The Rev Enders At least one year's residence in Hall is required of every candidate for the Theological Associateship of King's College and longer period is strongly recommended whenever possible The discipline and devo- tional training of the residents is similar to that of other theological colleges daily services devotional addresses quiet days and retreats being provided The position of the Hall affords easy contact with the College it enables residents to keep in touch with the many religious and social enterprises which centre in London and it makes it possible for them to share in the Sunday services at St Paul's and the Abbey and other London churches and to hear some of the best preachers of the day Provision is made for full board on Saturdays and Sundays and for breakfast tea and dinner on other days The inclusive charge is £22 per term For conditions of entry regulations etc application should be made to the Dean King's College Application forms for admission should be sent to the Warden II -The Platanes Warden Demuok William Graham Style Sc Ph There is Hostel for men students at The Platanes Champion Hill It is about five minutes' walk from King's College Hospital and is large and commodious house accommodating 80 students Within the grounds of about one and half acres there are two excellent grass lawn-tennis courts and one hard court The illustration will afford some idea of the character of the house and its surroundings Although it stands only few minutes from the route of the electric trams to all parts of London and is also close to trains and buses it is entirely quiet and peaceful In addition to the 80 comfortable bed-sitting rooms there are several excellent common rooms including billiard-room dining-room and reading- and smoking-room All the rooms are lighted by electricity and the house is centrally heated Provision is made for full board on Saturdays and Sundays and for breakfast and dinner on other days The charges vary from £63 to £77 per session according to the size and the position of the room The Hostel is also open for residents during vacations For conditions of entry regulations and terms application should be made to the Warden at The Platanes Champion Hill
