FACULTY OF LAWS 151 The College recommend Students who intend to read lor the Law Degrees to select Latin as one of the subjects for the Matriculation Examination as some knowledge of Latin will be found necessary for the study of Roman Law Special classes are held for those Intermediate Students whose Latin is weak CURRICULUM FOR THE LL DEGREE The Senate of the University has approved the following regulations for courses for the degree INTERMEDIATE COURSE ONE SESSION The Intermediate Course is one year's course and prepares students for the Intermediate Examination in the following subjects Roman Law English Constitutional Law and its History English Legal System Criminal Law and Procedure Or Indian Penal Code and Procedure COURSE FINAL LL TWO SESSIONS The Second Year's Course prepares students for the following subjects of the Final Examination General Principles of English Law which includes Contract δ Tort and Trusts II One of the following English Land Law Roman Dutch Law Muhammadan Law ii Hindu Law Code Civil Fran9ais Law of Palestine and Iraq The Third Year's Course prepares students for the following subjects of the Final Examination III Jurisprudence and Legal Theory IV Two of the following Publio International Law or Constitutional Laws of the British Empire History of English Law Roman Law special subject and special portion of the Digest to be prescribed from time to time Mercantile Law special subjects to be presoribed from time to time Conflict of Laws Conveyancing or Succession Testate and Intestate including the Administration of Assets Law of Evidence Civil and Criminal or Law of Evidence in India Administrative Law or Industrial Law
