GENERAL INFORMATION 89 Theological Students the Dean shall have the power to fine or suspend the Student for period not extending beyond the current term Should the Principal consider the conduct of any Student other than Theological Student to be such as to require more serious notice he will summon the Student before Court of Discipline con- sisting of the Principal the Deans of all the Faculties and if the conduct of any woman is in question the Tutor to Women Students and this Court shall have power to pass sentence either of temporary exclusion or of permanent expulsion from the College Should the Dean consider the conduct of any Theological Student to be such as to require more serious notice he will- If he regards the conduct of such Student as specially derogatory to his position in the Theological Department summon him before court to which the Dean the Principal the Chaplain and six Professors or Principal Teachers of the Department shall be summoned or- If he regards the conduct of the Student as generally pre- judicial to the character or welfare of the College request the Principal to summon him before the Court of Discipline afore- said and either court shall have power to pass sentence either of temporary exclusion or of permanent expulsion from the College In all cases in which sentence of expulsion has been passed upon Student right of appeal shall lie to the Council as regards Theological Students and to the Delegacy as regards all other Students 23 Smoking is strictly prohibited within the College walls except in those rooms and at those times for which permission has been given by the Principal or as regards the rooms belonging to the Theological Faculty by the Dean Offences against this rule will be punished by fine 24 Except on Saturdays the College is normally open on week-days in term from to and in vacations from to On Saturdays the hours are to 30 both in term and vacation Students are not allowed except with special permission to enter or remain in the College buildings when the College is closed Such permission will usually be granted in the case of research students on application to the Secretary through the Head of the Department concerned 25 Letters addressed to initials or fictitious names at the College are at once returned to the Post Office 26 The College accepts no responsibility for the loss of property not placed in the charge of the recognised Porters
