PRIZES 61 The next award will be made in the Lent Term 1932 Essays must be sent to the Secretary of the College not later than the second Wednesday in December 1931 -Phizes open to Students in the Faculty of Theology only fttiowlitig Sermon fl ri3e The Friends and former Pupils of the Reverend Richard John Knowling Canon of Durham formerly Professor of Exegesis of the New Testament at King College presented to the College at his request the sum of £35 15s being part of testimonial offered to him for the purpose of founding Prize to bear his name The Prize which is of the value of £1 2s is open to regular Students of the Theological Faculty in their final year The Prize is awarded for the best written sermon preaohed in Chapel Mor&swortb Xatin prises The Council gives to the Faculty of Theology in each year Prize in memory of Bishop Wordsworth by whom for some years this Prize was presented Junior Prize in the same subject is also given Senior Prize This Prize which is of the value of £2 2s is open for compe- tition to any Student of the second or third year It will be awarded annually in the Easter Term to the Student who has done best in Latin Second Year Course during the Academical year provided that the Candidate has reached high standard of merit No Student may obtain the Prize second time Junior Prize This Prize which is of the value of £1 Is is open for compe- tition to any Student of the first year It will be awarded annually in the Easter Term to the Student who has obtained the highest marks in the Latin Intermediate Theology Examination No Student may obtain the Junior Prize second time but Junior Prizeman may compete in subsequent year if still in the Faculty for the Senior Prize The text-book is that set for the Intermediate examination
