ANNUAL REPORT which has been printed and circulated to members Professor Bicknell preached at the Te Deum in the evening and dinner in the College concluded the proceedings Corporation op King's College The Council have elected Sir Lulham Pound to be member of the Corporation Staff The Rev Canon Box Davidson Professor of Old Testament resigned at the end of the Session The Council record their deep sense of the services which he has rendered to the College and to scholarship during his long connexion with the Department Mr Hooke has been appointed Davidson Professor by the University and will take part in the teaching of Old Testament subjects Fellowship The Rev Dr Smith has been elected fellow of the College The Council regret to record the death of the following Fellows who were members of the Corporation Leuis John Moriarty the Rev John Twentyman Lieut -General Sir Arthur Thomas Sloggett Council We regret to record the death of Sir John Alexander Cockburn who was elected fellow in 1894and had been mem- ber of the Council since 1900 Brigadier-General Magnus Mowat Sir Frederick Green and Mr Arnold Dan vers Power all Donors to the College have been elected members of the Council Dr Bicknell and Dr Ο Oesterley have been elected to the Council on the nomination of the Professorial Board We are glad to be able to report that Sir Lulham Pound has accepted the office of Treasurer Finance General Account -The Council are glad to report that the improve- ment in the financial position of the Theological Department noted in previous reports continues to be maintained The income from fees amounted to £7 190 5s Id an increase of £1 326 on the previous year The grant from the Ecclesiastical Commissioners remained at £4 000 of which £500 was allotted to the Exhibitions and Bursaries Account As result of the improved financial position the Council have made grants of £200 to the Bursaries Fund £50 to the Hostel Library and £600 to the Special Reserve Fund In addition they have made grant of £250 to the College Servants' Superannuation Fund which is admin- istered by the Delegacy After making allowance for these additional allocations the year's working resulted in credit balance of £317 17s and the accumulated surplus is now £2 082 4s Id
