ANNUAL REPORT Dr George Pavlovsky student of the School who held Seminar in Russian Agriculture in the School during the Session has received the British nomination to post in the International Agricultural Institute at Rome Department of Philosophy Number of Students Intermediate Day and Evening 20 Pass and Subsidiary Honours Post-graduate Journalism Occasional Total 45 In addition to the above there were Intercollegiate students and Sc students all Intercollegiate the latter attending short course given by Dr Oakeley in the Summer Term on the "Critical Theory of Knowledge Results of Examinations Two students entered for the Final Examination in Philosophy Honours obtaining Second Class and Third Two students took philosophy as one of their subjects in the Journalism Diploma Examination and both obtained distinction in this subject Higher Degree in Classics External Rev Shepherd Gibbs Ancient Philosophy-" Epicurus and Lucretius 1' Departmental Notes Dr Oakeley was re-elected Chairman of the Board of Philosophical Studies and representative of the Board on the Board of the Faculty of Arts for the year 1930 Mr Thomas Greenwood gave course of ten lectures on Mathematical Philosophy which was attended by Honours students of King's and other Colleges The attendance at public lectures continues to show that there is wide general interest in philosophy Department of Psychology Number of Students During the Session 158 students attended lectures in the Depart- ment of whom were reading for First Degrees 12 for Higher Degrees for the Academic Diploma in Psychology and for the qualifying examination for admission to registration for the degree of Ph Eleven students of the Faculty of Theology attended the Elementary Course and 32 students attended the Laboratory Course
