vi ANNUAL REPORT Department of Zoology -Mr Benjamin Dawes Assistant Lecturer Department of Anatomy -Dr Francis Davies Reader Dr Gladstone part-time Lecturer Mr Moynihan Hon Demon- strator Department of Physiology -Mr Thompson Lecturer Mr Thornton part-time Demonstrator Faculty of Engineering -Professor Catterson-Smith Siemens Professor of Electrical Engineering Library -Miss Dickie Assistant Deaths of Former Members of the College The deaths of the following old members of the College have to be recorded Mr Vernon Blake painter sculptor and writer Dr Philip Boobbyer student of the College in the Faculty of Medical Science from 1879 to 1884 After qualifying Dr Boobbyer was resident at King's College Hospital and became Medical Officer of Health for the Borough of Nottingham Professor John Buckley Bradbury student in the Medical Faculty from 1861 to 1862 held the Downing Professorship of Medicine in the University of Cambridge for thirty-six years Sir John Cockburn sometime Premier of South Australia student in the Medical Faculty of the College from 1868 to 1872 was elected Fellow in 1894 and became member of the Council in 1900 Lt -Colonel Oscar Eugster student in the Department of Electrical Engineering 1899-1900 Sir Maurice Low student of the College from 1876 to 1877 The Earl of Mar and Kellie student in the General Literature and Science Department of the College 1854-55 Mr Louis Martin Moriarty who held the Professorship of French Literature in the College from 1885 to 1889 Mr Plumtre who entered the College Faculty of Laws in 1867 He was appointed Recorder of West Bromwich in 1892 and held the office until 1923 Sir Edward Pollock who entered King's College School in 1855 and attended the General Literature Classes in the College in 1857 he was also student in the Medical Faculty from 1859 to 1864 He became Official Referee of the Supreme Court of Judicature in 1907 and retired from that office in 1927 Rev Proctor Judge Richard Owen Roberts former student of the College Mr Lindesay John Robertson who had distinguished legal career in India and in this country Dr Ε Roche student in the Medical Faculty of the College from 1866 to 1868 Sir Ernest de la Rue student of the College from 1870 to 1875
