PRIZES 01 Next award Michaelmas Term 1930 Essays must be seut to the Secretary of the College not later than the second Wednesday in December -Prizes open to Students in the Faculty of Theology only Iftnowling Sermon pri3e The Friends and former Pupils of the Reverend Richard John Knowling Canon of Durham formerly Professor of Exegesis of the New Testament at King's College presented to the College at his request the sum of £35 15s being part of testimonial offered to him for the purpose of founding Prize to bear his name The Prize is open to regular Students of the Theological Faculty in their final year The Prize is awarded for the best written sermon preached in Chapel imorbswortb Xatin prises The Council gives to the Faculty of Theology in each year Prize in memory of Bishop Wordsworth by whom for some years this Prize was presented Junior Prize in the same subject is also given Senior Prize This Prize is open for competition to any Student of the second or third year It will be awarded annually in the Easter Term to the Student who has done best in Latin Second Year Course during the Academical year provided that the Candidate has reached high standard of merit No student can obtain the Prize twice Junior Prize This Prize is open for competition to any Student of the first year It will be awarded annually in the Easter Term to the Student who has obtained the highest marks in the Latin Intermediate Arts and Theology Examination No Student can obtain the Junior Prize twice but Junior Prizeman may compete in subsequent year if still in the Faculty for the Senior Prize The text-book set for 1931 is Cicero De Officiis Book III
