56 SCHOLARSHIPS AND EXHIBITIONS VI -FACULTY OF ENGINEERING Sambroofee Scbolarsbip in Engineering Scholarship of £50 per annum for three years will be offered annually to candidates entering the Faculty of Engineering Candidates must be under 19 years of age on May lst in the year of election The Scholarship is open to men and women The subjeots of the Examination are -English Mathematics and two of the following subjects not more than one of which may be language Latin Greek French German Italian Spanish Elementary Mechanics Elementary Physics Elementary Chemistry Geometrical Drawing The successful candidate will be required to enter the Faculty of Engineering at King's College as an Internal Student of the University of London in Ootober next following the Examination with the under- standing that he will proceed to an Honours Degree in Engineering in the University of London The payments will be made in nine terminal instalments pro- vided the Student continues in attendance as Regular Student in the Day Classes and produces to the Secretary at the end of each term Certificate of good conduct and of satisfactory progress signed by the Dean of the Faculty The next Examination will be held by the London Inter- Collegiate Scholarships Board in April Candidates should apply to Mr Banner Secretary of the Board King's College Hospital Medical School for form of entry which must be sent in in March ffounbers Company Scbolarsbip Scholarship of £40 year for three years tenable in the Faculty of Engineering at King's College is offered by the Worshipful Company of Founders subject to the conditions and terms laid down by the College and to such other regulations as the Company may from time to time prescribe The present conditions of award arc the same as those for the Sambrooke Scholarship Salomons Scbolarsbip This Scholarship which is at present of the value of £50 was founded in 1890 by Sir David Salomons Bart and is awarded by the Council of the Institution of Electrical Engineers to Student of one of the following London Institutions University College King's College City and Guilds Central Technical College and the Finsbury
