xxxu ANNUAL REPORT Plays and before the British Academy on The Elizabethan Shake- speare Annual Shakespeare Lecture Mr Raven of Rugby School was appointed to the Staff at the beginning of the Session and Miss May Yardley resigned at the end of the Session in order to take up lectureship at Greystoke Place Training College The generous help given in previous Sessions by professors and lecturers in other Departments by Dr Aveling and Mr Bartlett in the Department of Psychology and by Professor Dearmer Professor Thomson and Professor Rogers was continued as before The Session opened as last year with week-end in which all members of the Department concerned with the Teacher's Diploma took part The Hostel chosen was High Leigh Hoddesdon and the visit was great success in every way Faculty of Laws Number of Students During the Session 1928-29 82 students were enrolled in the Faculty decrease of as compared with the previous Session Of the 82 students one was Post-graduate 57 were registered as Internal students for the University Degree of LL 12 attended the regular course of Law Lectures though not candidates for the Degree and 12 were Occasional students of whom were students from the Law Society Results of Examinations Intermediate 23 candidates entered of whom 14 passed were Special referred in one subject and failed Final LL candidates entered of whom obtained First Class Honours and the University Scholarship obtained Second Class Honours passed and failed Higher Degrees LL Mr Η Davies The Rides of International Private Law relating to the Transfer of Movables Immovables and Choses in Action LL Mr Fred Bullock The Law relating to Medical Dental and Veterinary Practice During the Session Mr Reginald Goff LL was appointed Tutor to the Law Students of King's College and Mrs Bullock LL was appointed to conduct classes for the study of the Latin texts in the Roman Law Examination for the LL Degree
