ANNUAL REPORT Fellows of the College The following were appointed Fellows of the College His Royal Highness the Duke of Connaught Senior Life Governor of the College President of the Centenary Commemora- tion Committee and President of King's College Hospital President Masaryk sometime Lecturer in Slavonic Literature His Excellency the Marquis Merry del Val who has shown great interest in the College and particularly in the Spanish Depart- ment His Excellency's active support contributed in no small measure to the success of the Cervantes Committee in raising funds for the endowment of the Cervantes Chair and he has shown his continued interest in the College by becoming member of the Centenary Com- memoration Committee The Right Hon Baron Blanesburgh LL Chairman of the Delegacy Sir John Dewrance former student of the College and member of the Centenary Commemoration Committee Mr Henry Neville Gladstone former student of the College and member of the Centenary Commemoration Committee Professor Gordon Sc Head of the Depart- ment of Geology since 1914 Professor Dame Helen Gwynne-Vaughan Sc LL President of the Old Students' Association and member of the Centenary Commemoration Committee The Dowager Viscountess Hambleden Vice-Chairman of the Centen- ary Commemoration Committee Mr Harry Lloyd member of the Council of the College and member of the Centenary Commemoration Committee The Right Hon Reginald McKenna Treasurer of the Centenary Appeal Fund Sir Charles Parsons LL Sc member of the Centenary Commemoration Committee who was taking an active interest in the efforts to raise the endowment for the Chairs of Physics and Electrical Engineering Sir John Snell former student of the College and member of the Centenary Commemoration Committee Sir Edward Troup LL Treasurer of the Delegacy and Treasurer of the Centenary Appeal Fund Sir Charles Wakefield Bart LL Vice-Chairman of the Centenary Commemoration Committee Distinctions Gained by Past and Present Members of the College Lord Blanesburgh Chairman of the Delegacy was awarded the Honorary Degree of LL by the University of St Andrew's Sir Charles Parsons who has shown his interest in the College by becoming member of the Centenary Commemoration a2
