FACULTY OF THEOLOOY 271 KING'S COLLEGE UNION SOCIETY The chief aim of the Society is to unify all athletic and social interests in the College Debates are held twice in each of the winter terms in the Large Theatre All information respecting the Society can be obtained from the Secretary of the Union KING'S COLLEGE REVIEW The King's College Review is issued terminally HOSTEL FOR THEOLOGICAL STUDENTS Vincent Square Westminster With the approval of the Council and of the Bishops of London Rochester and St Albans Hostel was established in October 1902 under the wardenship of Professor Newsom for those Theological Students who wish for the advantages of common life and is now under the management of the Council The Dean is now Warden and the Rev Maitland Dodds is Assistant Warden The situation is quiet and within easy walk of the College Note -Intending residents should send in their names as early as possible to the Assistant Warden HOSTEL REGULATIONS Residents are expected to attend the morning and evening offices in the Chapel to bfe in their rooms by 11 unless leave be obtained from the Warden or Assistant Warden and to conform to the spirit and discipline of the community The general order of the day is as follows- 10 Holy Communion 45 Meditation breakfast 30 Matins in College Chapel followed by the lectures of the College Course 30 tea at the Hostel 30 Evensong dinner 45 coffee in the Common Room 10 Compline The general administration of the House is left as much as possible to the Residents who elect officers from their own body and meet periodically to discuss the affairs of the House -As the Hostel is in the centre of London it is possible to get experience of the best Church work of every kind to hear the first preachers of the day and to be in touch with various social and religious enterprises For particulars concerning the Hostel application should be made to the Secretary King's College ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS Students who wish to take the regular three years' Theological Course without Preliminary Year must have passed either the
