FACULTY OF NATURAL SCIENCE 175 A14 -Climatology and Oceanography Time to be arranged King's College A15 -Cartography 12-1 Michaelmas and Lent Terms King's College PHYSIOLOGY BIOCHEMISTRY AND HISTOLOGY Head of the Department Professor Robert John Stewart McDowall Sc Ch Edin The following courses of instruction wfll be given during the Session -General Course of Lectures in Physiology Junior Tu and F1-12 Michaelmas and Lent Senior 12-1 11-12 Michaelmas and Lent 10-11 Easter The junior course is designed to suit those beginning the subject and deals with the subject systematically Students may begin in October or January but preferably the former In the senior course the more difficult parts of the subject are dealt with and more time is spent on those aspects of the subject which are more closely allied to Medicine and Surgery The lectures are supplemented by small tutorial classes and by lecture demonstrations Ī„ -Practical Physiology Junior 12-1 and 11-12 Michaelmas Experimental Physiology 12-1 and 11-12 Lent Chemical Physiology Senior Tu 4-6 and 3-5 This course is divided into Experimental Physiology which is held during the Michaelmas Term and Chemical Physiology which is held in the Lent Term Y3 -Histology Lectures and Tu 2-3 10-11 Easter Practical and Tu 3-5 11-1 Easter The practical work is arranged to accompany the lectures Each Student must provide himself with set of minor accessory instru- ments but the microscopes and materials including slides are supplied in the Laboratory -Research etc The Laboratory is available to all who wish to carry out original investigations and instruction will be given to those who require it Details may be obtained from the Professor -B Sc Hons Physiology Special facilities are given to seleoted Medical students who wish to take this degree which they may do on completion of their 2nd examination and before they commence their hospital work This course is recommended to those who are likely later to seek appointments in the many allied branches of medical science For particulars see under Faculty of Medical Science
