141 faculty of laws Dean Hibbeht LL Students are prepared for the examinations of the University of London in the Faculty of Laws or are permitted at their option to attend any of the general lectures in Law or those on special subjects connected with the study of Law which are given from time to time in the College There is no entrance examination to the College but students entering for the University Law degree examinations must have passed the Matriculation Examination or have been exempted there- from Particulars concerning this Examination may be obtained in the College office but all applications for information concerning exemptions must be made to the External Registrar University of London South Kensington Special classes day and evening for the preparation of students for the Matriculation Examination are held in the College Tho teaching of Law in the University is conducted under an Inter- Collegiate arrangement at King College University College and the School of Economics Under this Inter-Collegiate scheme day and evening courses for the Intermediate and Final Examinations for the LL degree have been arranged and for these Composition fees are charged The lectures are delivered at all three Colleges and students taking the evening course must be prepared to attend from three to four evenings week during Term time if they desire to take the complete course The three Colleges are Law School approved by the Law Society under the Solicitors Act 1922 and attendance at an approved course of lectures at the three Colleges complies with the requirements of the Law Society as to attendance at course of Legal Education approved by that Society Students taking the courses for the University Examinations are advised to enrol as Internal students of the University and the information which follows applies generally to courses for the Internal Degree The lectures however are open to External students of the University The full course for the degree of LL extends over three years The Intermediate Examination is held at the end of the first year and the Final Examination at the end of the third year Particulars concerning these Examinations will be found at 147 Candidates for the LL degree must either have passed the LL degree examination at least one calendar year previously or have been registered under the Regulations of the University for Post- Graduate Students proceeding to Higher Degree and have com- pleted course of study in accordance with those regulations
