scholarships and exhibitions 49 Two Studentships are offered annually one in English one in History and are open to all regular students of the University of London Ring's College and King's College for Women who shall have completed at least six College terms The value of each Studentship is either £100 or as near to that amount as the finances of the Fund will permit and in no event less than £85 together with free tuition for one Session The Studentship is awarded on the results of the Honours Examination of the University of London in History and in English after recommendation by the College Faculty of Arts The student selected will be required to pursue full-time course of study at King's College or King's College for Women for the Degree or Ph Degree in the subject of the Honours Examination and to give some assistance in teaching in the Department of Modern History or of English as the case may be The student will enter upon his Studentship at the beginning of the Session following the Examination in which he has taken his Degree in Honours Payment for the Studentship is made in three equal instalments at the end of each term on receipt of satisfactory certificate of attendance and progress from the Head of the Department in which the student is studying Studentship in Geography was instituted by the Delegacy of the College in 1925 It is offered annually and is open to all regular students of the University of London King's College and King's College for Women in the Faculty of Arts or in the Faculty of Natural Science who shall have completed at least six College Terms The value of the Studentship is £100 The Studentship is awarded on the results of the or Sc Honours Examination of the University of London in Geography after recommendation by the College Faculty of Arts or Natural Science The Student selected will be required to pursue full-time course of study at King's College or King's College for Women for the Sc or Ph Degree in the subject of the Honours Examination to give some assistance in teaching cataloguing maps lantern plates etc in the Historical Geography Library and to give general assistance to students reading in that Library Students Modern History 192C Latham Lucy Clare B-A 1927 Willingham Stanley Edward English 1926 Spackman Faith Olive Hilary 1927 Collins Alired Herbert Stubentsbip in Seograpb
