general information 43 FEES Regular Students Tuition Fees -The Fees will be found set forth in the pages of the Calendar dealing with the separate Faculties and include subscrip- tion to the Library Athletic Ground and Union Society cost of Calendar and all games subscriptions reduction equal to 20 per cent in the tuition fees is made in the case of boys who have passed at least five terms in King's College School or Strand School Regular Student may take any Class not being Laboratory Class in any other Faculty at reduction of 20 per cent in the specified fee of the class Occasional Students Occasional Students pay registration fees on entrance varying from 5s to 155 according to the number of classes taken The fees payable in the several College classes are given in the syllabuses of the classes They are generally at the rate of £1 lis 6d per term for one hour week in the Day Classes and £1 per term in the Evening Classes 1ל--- ------ -- taHfjTttrt Ijttrtt aWT LIBRARIES Librarian Walton Assistant Librarian Hales Student Librarian Stanley Bertram Chrimes The General Library is well supplied with books for the use of Students attending the various courses in the College large number of periodicals is taken in The following rules are enforced The Library is to be used for the purposes of reference and study only silence and strict attention to the directions of the Librarian must be observed All books used in the Library are to be returned to their proper places on the shelves Students are allowed to take out certain books for their private use at home by applying to one of the Library Staff and filling up form supplied for the purpose Dictionaries Encyclopaedias Grammars and other books specially marked are not allowed to be taken out of the Library In addition to the General Library there are The Marsden Library consisting of books bequeathed by Dr William Marsden containing unique and rare editions of works dealing with different languages The oriental books from this collection have been deposited on loan at the School of Oriental Studies and in their place books on History Science and other subjects have been transferred to King's College The Catalogue by Dr Marsden is in print and copy is kept in the Librarian's Room
