ANNUAL REPORT Inspector of the Department of Training for Teachers of the Board of Education was appointed Honorary Lecturer in the Department of Education Miss Farrow part-time Assistant Lecturer in Education was raised to the status of full-time Assistant Lecturer and Mr Hill was appointed Lecturer in Education in connection with the Science students of the Department Mr Humphreys and Mr Messer were appointed Honorary Demonstrators in Psychology for the session Faculty of Natural Science -Mr Combridge was appointed Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics In the Department of Physics Mr Bennie and Mr Childs were appointed part-time Demonstrators In the Department of Chemistry Dr McClelland was appointed Assistant Lecturer Mr Child was appointed Research Assistant to Professor Smiles and Dr Gregg was appointed Demonstrator Faculty of Medical Science -Mr Arthur Hemingway was appointed Demonstrator in Physiology and on his leaving at the end of the session was succeeded by Mr Η Densham Mr Ward previously Demonstrator was also appointed Lecturer in Dental Metallurgy in succession to Mr Patchin Faculty of Engineering -Mr White was promoted to the status of Lecturer Deaths of Former Members of the College Mr James Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Mathe- matics since 1924 died in May 1926 The deaths of the following old members of the College have also to be recorded Professor Francis Ysidor Edgeworth formerly Professor of Political Economy at the College and afterwards Tooke Professor of Economic Science and Statistics He was elected Fellow of the College in 1891 Professor Capper Professor of Engineering from 1890 to 1921 During his tenure of his Chair he was member of the Delegacy and also of the Senate He was elected Fellow of the College in 1907 Mr Matthew Curry Assistant Professor of Engineering from 1902 to 1912 Professor Steen Professor of Psychological Medicine from 1909 to 1923 Professor Pritchard Professor of Aural Surgery from 1886 until 1910 His connection with King's College Hospital dated from 1872 Mr Charles Montague Doughty famous for his writings on the East and particularly for his book Travels in Arabia Deserta He was an occasional student in the Mathematical Department of the College in 1861 Mr Reginald Geare former master in King's College School who was elected Fellow of the College in 1895
