UNIVERSITY OF LONDON KING'S COLLEGE ANNUAL EEPOET FOE THE YEAE 1925-26 Presented to the SENATE of the UNIVERSITY OF LONDON GENERAL REPORT The Delegacy There were few changes in the composition of the Delegacy during the session Miss Reynard Warden of the Household and Social Science Department of King's College for Women was appointed to represent the Board of Principal Teachers of King's College for Women in succession to Dr Henry who resigned the Wardenship last year Mr Edwardes Jones nominated by the Surrey County Council took the place of Mr Henry Nevill and Professor Barclay-Smith was succeeded as representative of the Professorial Board by Professor McDowall Changes in the Staff Administrative At the end of the session Professor Smiles resigned the office of Dean of the Faculty of Natural Science and was succeeded by Professor White and Professor Cook succeeded Professor Jameson as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Mr Jones was appointed Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Arts Teaching Staff Retirements -Professor Spiers who was first appointed in 188Θ retired at the end of the session Dr Webb left the service of the College after acting for nearly forty years as Master of the Preliminary Class Professor Walters and Dr Hubert Hall part-time Lecturers in Palaeography also retired from their appointments Resignations -Dr Shears Reader in Romance Philology resigned on his appointment as Professor of French in the University of Aberdeen Dr Curtis Reader in Physics resigned on his appointment to the Chair of Physics at Armstrong College University of Durham Mr Geneve Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering resigned on his appointment to the Chair of Mechanical Engineering at the Royal School of Engineer- ing Giza Egypt Dr Hemingway Demonstrator in the Department of Physiology left the College to act as Senior Assistant in the Department of Physiology at University College and Dr Reeves also Demonstrator in Physiology left to take up work at
