113 faculty of Hits Dean of the Faculty for 1927-28 Professor Atkins Lit Vice-Dean Professor Heaenshaw LL COURSES OF STUDY In this Faculty Students are prepared for the Intermediate and Final Examinations for the degree Pass or Honours of the University of London the Ph and Lit degrees of the University of London the Teacher's Diploma and the Diploma for Journalism Courses may also be taken without reference to degree or diploma for general education in the Humanities suitable for those preparing for Holy Orders for the Law or for the Home Colonial and Indian Services Students are admitted either as Regular or Occasional Students Regular Students are those taking full-time courses and paying the Composition Fee of their Faculty Occasional Students are those paying only the fees for the separate classes attended All King's College graduates who wish to continue their studies in any subject though not actually pursuing post-graduate course under the conditions set out below may by the payment of composition fee of Ā£1 10s keep their names on the College books and enjoy the privileges of Registered Graduates as enumerated in the Calendar -FOR THE DEGREE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF LONDON Matriculation Before proceeding to study for the Degree in Arts it is necessary for student to pass the Matriculation Examination unless he has been exempted from that Examination in accordance with the Regulations approved by the Senate under Statute 116 -Students intending to enter the Faculty of Arts should note that either Latin or Greek is compulsory in the Intermediate Examination It is therefore advisable for them to take either Latin or Greek at the Matriculation or equivalent Examination No student is allowed to take Latin in the Intermediate Examina- tion who has not taken it in the Matriculation Examination or its equivalent at latest in the preceding January Five subjects are to be chosen by candidates from the following list English Elementary Mathematics Latin or Greek or Botany or Chemistry or Heat Light and Sound or Mechanics or Electricity and Magnetism and Two of the following not It i3 important that Candidates for the Examinations of the University of London should make themselves thoroughly acquainted with the Regulations of the University regarding Registration Attendance at recognised courses filling in of Schedules payment of Examina- tion Fees and other matters These Regulations can be obtained at the College Office uu application
