270 FACULTY OF THEOLOGY REGULATIONS FOR ADMISSION OF STUDENTS No Student can be admitted under the age of 18 save by special permission of the Theological Board Every Candidate for Admission to the course for the Diploma and Testamur must send to the Dean written application for admission accompanied by certificate of character from the Clergyman of his parish or of the parish church with which he is associated the names of two or more persons to whom he is well known as referees The form of application can be obtained from the Secretary of the College or from the Dean's Secretary Candidates for entrance to the Preliminary Year must satisfy the Board that they are fitted to begin course of Study in the Faculty Candidates for the Associateship must sign declaration of membership of the Church of England Previous to admission each Student must sign declaration that he will conform to the rules and regulations of the College Students attend Lectures and official duties in the Cap and Gown prescribed by the College All students on admission to the Faculty are required to furnish satisfactory evidence of good health All Students are required on the first day of Term before admis- sion to the Faculty to appear before the Dean and Theological Board Students desiring to join the Faculty are requested to com- municate with the Dean 10 Each student on entering the College will be allotted to member of the Stafi as his Tutor Notes -1 Occasional Students are not subject to the above rules but are obliged to conform to the rules of the College as stated in the Calendar All Students regular or occasional must register themselves at the beginning of each Session with Bev Smith Students who are preparing for Holy Orders are reminded that the Bishops require testimonials from three Beneficed Clergymen besides the University Degree or the College Associateship and Testamur It is desirable therefore that Students should keep themselves within the personal knowledge of three Beneficed Clergymen during the whole of the three years previous to their application to the Bishops for acceptance as Candidates Students who will be 30 years of age or over at the end of their Course should obtain guarantee from Bishop that their age will not be bar to Ordination before they enter the College
