196 FACULTY OF MEDICAL SCIENCE -Laboratory Work 10-1 Lent and Easter Terms and Th 3-6 throughout the Session Examination by dissection or otherwise of the types enumerated above-Elements of Cytology and Animal Histology-Development of the Chick For Students taking the Examination of the Conjoint Board special course has been arranged for these Students and will be given by Mr Billinghurst -Lectures 12-1 Tu 4-5 Th 10-11 2-3 -Laboratory Work 3-6 ANATOMY Head of the Department Professor Barclay-Smith The following Courses are given throughout the year except where otherwise stated -Descriptive Anatomy 11-12 and 10-11 Michaelmas and Lent Terms Th 10-11 Easter Term This Course consists of series of Lectures in which the various systems and organs of the body are described in detail Yr-A Revision Course in Anatomy is given each Term Tu Th 11-12 Michaelmas and Lent Terms Tu 10-11 12-1 10-11 Easter Term -Practical Anatomy The Dissecting Room is open daily Tu Th 9-4 9-12 The Practical Course is conducted under the superintendence of the Professor assisted by the Lecturers and Demonstrators Students have to undergo periodical examinations on the part they are dissecting Fees -£6 6s per Term £9 9s for Months This includes cost of the parts dissected -Embryology 3-4 Th 10-11 Michaelmas and Lent Terms and Th 11-12 Easter Term The Course of Embryology consists of series of Lectures in which the development of the embryo and of its appendages systems and organs are discussed -A Class in Osteology is held throughout the year on Tu and 3-4 Advanced Anatomy -Senior Course -For Senior and Post-Graduate Students Adapted for Senior Students preparing for the University and other higher and Honours examinations and as preliminary to the com- mencement of original research It consists of series of Lecture Demonstrations in which the anatomy development and morphology of organs and systems of the body are considered and demonstrated by recent specimens Th 2-3 throughout the year
