FACULTY OF LAWS 155 The Second Year's Course prepares students for subjects II and III of the Final Examination at which candidates will be examined in six subjects as follows General Principles of Common Law II General Principles of Equity III One of the following English Law of Property Roman Dutch Law Mahomedan Law Hindu Law Code Civil if Ottoman Law The Third Year's Course prepares students for subjects IV and VI of the Examination viz IV One of the following English Law of Evidence and Civil Procedure Indian Evidence Act and Civil Procedure of the Indian Courts Mercantile Law special subject for 1927 Sale of Goods and Negotiable Instruments" Conveyancing and VI Two of the following Public International Law Conflict of Laws Private International Law History of English Law Constitutional Laws of the British Empire Comparative Jurisprudence Roman Law Portion of the Digest The Examination will consist of one Paper on each of the subjects in which the Candidate presents himself and of one paper of Essays and ii viva voce Examination in English Law The Examination is common to Honours and Pass Candidates successful Candidates being awarded First or Second Class Honours or Pass Degree Entry Forms and Certificates must be returned to the Academic Registrar duly filled up and completed not later than the 12th day of March preceding the Examination It is important that Candidates for the Examinations of the University of London should make themselves thoroughly acquainted with the Regulations of the University regarding Registration Attendance at Recognised Courses Filling in of Schedules Payment of Examination Fees and other matters -1 Students reading for Honours should consult their Teachers as to the additional and special courses they should take Students intending to take both Conveyancing and Conflict of Laws as their optional subjects must take one of these subjects in their second year and the other in their third year
