154 FACULTY OF LAWS Physical and General Geography Logic Geometrical and Mechanical Drawing Mathematics more advanced Mechanics Chemistry Physics-Heat Light and Sound Physics-Electricity and Magnetism Botany Zoology Geology candidate desirous of offering any language or languages other than those named above should submit his proposal for the con- sideration of the Matriculation Board The normal notice of such proposal is six months before the beginning of the Matriculation Examination for which he enters Candidates giving less than six months' notice are advised that it may not be possible to make arrange- ments for papers to be set at the next Matriculation Examination even though the language be approved Proposals to take particular language other than those men- tioned above must be accompanied by special fee additional to the regular Matriculation fee This fee will be returned should the proposed language not be accepted by the Matriculation Board but in no other case The amount of this additional fee varies with the language selected and can be ascertained on application to The External Registrar University of London South Kensington Copies of the University Matriculation Regulations giving fuller details can be obtained at the College The College recommend Students who intend to read for the Law Degrees to select Latin as one of the subjects for the Matriculation Examination as some knowledge of Latin will be found necessary for the study of Roman Law CURRICULUM FOR THE LL DEGREE The Senate of the University has approved the following regulations for courses for the degree INTERMEDIATE COURSE The Intermediate Course is one year's course and prepares students for the Intermediate Examination in the following subjects Roman Law English Constitutional Law and its History Jurisprudence and Criminal Law and Procedure or Indian Penal Code and Procedure This subject cannot be taken in the Colonies In this subject special stress is laid on competence in drawing Candidates for Examination in this subject must give notice and pay their fee at least two months before the commencement of the Examination
