148 FACULTY OF LAWS Candidates for the LL degree other than candidates registered under Statutes 113 and 129 of the University must either Have obtained honours at the LL Degree Examination not less than two years previously or Have taken the LL degree not less than two years pre- viously and have subsequently passed the LL Honours Examination These candidates must also submit dissertation or thesis on some special portion of Law and be prepared to be examined on the selected portion For further particulars application should be made to the Dean of the Faculty or the Adviser to Law Students FEES MATRICULATION The fees for the Preliminary Classes are £16 16s per term for the day class and £5 5s per term for the evening class payable in advance These fees are roughly proportional to the amount of instruction given in the day and evening classes respectively Students men or women can be admitted at any time The entry fee for the Matriculation Examination is £3 3s payable to the University LAW DEGREES No fee is charged by the University for registration of students as Internal Students who have passed either the Matriculation Examination or School Examination with exemption from the Matriculation if application for registration is made within four months from the first attendance at the course in respect of which registration is desired Students who begin course of study in October and matriculate in the following January may be registered without payment of fine before March lst If an application is made after the four months fine of £1 and if after year fine of £3 is imposed Students who have not passed either of the Examinations mentioned are required to pay registration fee of £2 The College undertakes the registration of students and application should be made at the Office for the necessary forms The payment of the Composition Fee per Session hereinafter mentioned entitles the student to attend all the courses required in connection with the Intermediate or the Final Examination for the LL degree and any class held in connection with any lectures in the course It also entitles student entered at King's College to the privileges of the Common Room the Union Society and Athletic Ground during the period for which the Fee is paid The Com- position Fee per Session for an Evening Course is 18 guineas and Day Course is 24 guineas The Composition Fee per Term for an Evening Course is guineas and for Day Course is guineas The entry fee for the Intermediate Examination is £6 6s and for the Final Examination £6 6s both payable to the University
