528 COLLEGE SOCIETIES of affording past Students an opportunity of meeting together occasionally during the Winter Session and maintaining in- terest in the College and the Hospital With the sanction of the Principal meetings are held on each Wednesday evening in the Michaelmas and Lent Terms in the Marsden Library at o'clock after the Dinner in Hall when Lectures and Papers on subjects of Literary and general interest are read and discussed The subscription is half a-crown for the Winter Session SOCIETY OF EDUCATION President Rev Archibald Robertson Vice-Presidents Prof Adams Sc Adamson Esq Rev Bourne Braginton Esq Pro Curnow Prof Hales Prof Η Hudson Rev Prof Knowling Rev Prof Shuttleworth This Society was established in February 1894 by the students of the Faculty of Arts Its object is the discussion of questions concerning Education and to bring together those who have been or are being trained at King's College The members are drawn from all Faculties and Depart- ments each of the latter being represented on the Vice- Presidency but the majority of members are the Staff the Queen's Scholars and the Theological Students Meetings are held at intervals during the Term at as rule notice of each meeting is sent to every member Educational periodicals are provided in the class- room The affairs of the Society are managed by Committee of five Secretary and Treasurer All officers are elected annually
