general rules 49 if such attendance be omitted in any Term or Session the Scholarship or Exhibition will be forfeited unless the Scholar or Exhibitioner notify his absence with the causes thereof to the Council either beforehand or at latest at the beginning of the Term he is intending to be absent and forward certificate of sanction to such absence from the Head of his College or the proper University authority 19 All Scholarships and Exhibitions will be paid by Terminal instalments at the end of each Term and subject to the reception in each case of such certificates as shall be required 20 No Scholarship or Exhibition or Prize will be awarded if in the opinion of the Examiners there is no candidate sufficiently well qualified 21 At the close of each Easter Term Prizes and Certifi- cates are awarded in accordance with the Rules in force in the various Faculties and Divisions No Prize or Certificate is given except for absolute merit general 22 Smoking is forbidden in the College or the Quad- rangle except in such places as shall be approved by the Principal 23 Letters addressed to initials or fictitious names at the College are not taken in but are at once returned to the Post Office 24 It is assumed that each Student will make himself familiar with the rules and regulations laid down for his guidance in this Calendar and no Student shall be entitled to any of the privileges or benefits of Student unless ho shall have duly conformed to and observed such rules and regulations Ī”
