486 EXHIBITIONS AND SCHOLARSHIPS The Written Paper will embrace In Inorganic Chemistry the same departments of the science as are required for the Preliminary Scientific and Intermediate Sc Examinations at the Univer- sity of London In Organic Chemistry the questions will have reference to the preparation properties and relations of typical compounds of the more important groups of organic substances The Examination in Practical Chemistry will include the qualitative analysis of inorganic substances and the identify cation of organic substances selected from the following list י י Α Acetates benzoates oxalates citrates tartrates hippurates succinates urates salicylates cyanides alcohol urea and its salts phenol quinine strychnine morphine brucine and cinchonine The Subjects of the Examination for 1900 will be Anatomy and Physiology and in each subject there will be written paper and practical examination Anatomy -The general scope of the written and practical examinations in Anatomy will be similar to that of the Second Examination of the Conjoint Board in England but in addition candidates will be required to perform dissection of prescribed region in the body II Physiology -The questions in the written paper will be of the same nature as those set in the Second Examination of the Conjoint Board in England The practical examination will consist in Identifying describing and drawing microscopic specimens The making of microscopic preparations to illustrate the structure of the elementary tissues The making and mounting of microscopic sections The identification in solutions of the more commonly occurring proximate principles of the body and of food The candidates will also be
