MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIPS 481 will depend upon their obtaining an aggregate of one-half the marks in that examination This Scholarship is tenable with one of the College Medical Scholarships but the holder of Warneford Class Scholarship must resign the same if he gain Class II Scholarship 1898-9 The Divinity part of the Examination will be held on Friday October 1899 and the Medical Examination will begin on Monday March 12 1900 The names of all Candidates must be sent in writing to the Secretary of the College before four o'clock on Monday October 1899 after which hour no name can be received The following will be the subjects of Examination Divinity Old Testament -The Books of Amos and Hosea New Testament -The Gospel according to St Mark Prayer-Book -The Office for Holy Communion II Professional Subjects The papers set will be the same as those for the Senior and Second Year Scholarships in the corresponding subjects 1900 The Divinity subjects will be as follows Old Testament -Isaiah -vi and Micah New Testament -St Mark Butler's Analogy Part chapters -iv The Apostles' Creed and the Lord's Prayer easy explanatory questions Names of Scholars 1S66 Hunt William Alfred 1867 Kidger Alfred Armitage 1868 Cross Francis Richardson 1869 Briggs George Chapman 1870 Lush William John Henry 1871 White Ernest William 1872 Fowler James 1880 James Henry Daniel 1881 Kealy John William 1882 Greenwood Cecil Danforth J883 Penny Francis 1884 Wright Benjamin John 1885 Longmore Thomas William 1886 Penny Jeremiah 1887 Beach Boswell 1888 Lack Harry Lambert 1890 Smith William Robert 1891 French Herbert Cumming 1892 Penny Frederick Septimus 1894 Clark Sydney 1895 Mayou Marmaduke Stephen 1898 Briscoe John Charlton 1$99 not awarded π π
