462 EXHIBITIONS AND SCHOLARSHIPS No one can be admitted Scholar upon this foundation under eighteen years of age and he cannot receive the emoluments of the Scholarship until he has been registered as Medical Student The Scholarship is tenable during five years Worsley Scholar is not eligible to hold any other Scholarship in the College but may compete for Prizes The Scholar will pursue in the Medical Faculty the regular course for obtaining qualification recognized by the General Medical Council In addition to his Medical Studies he will in his third and fourth years attend classes in the Theological Faculty and pass the Examinations but exemp- tion in some of the subjects may be allowed by the Principal If the Scholar fails to qualify in either the Medical or Theological Faculty within the five years he will have to pay half the usual College fee for the extended period of study that may be requisite Scholars For the names of those elected previously to 1866 see the Calendar for 1865-6 1866 Allardice Harry James 1869 Gardner Ernest Lloyd 1875 Ferry Henry Edward Morris Theodore Hastings 1877 Johnson Marcus Ernest Wil- liam 1879 Lord John Douglas 1880 Loysdail Arthur 1882 Cole Frederick Thomas 1883 Browne Ernest 1884 Oates Ernest Potter Laughlin Adam Clarke 1885 Adams William Francis Frost John Ernest Langley 1886 Jacob Joseph Weston William Skeavington 1890 Smith John Allison 1895 Lowman William Henville Tobit Perry Praime 1898 Balme Harold The Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge has made provision for offering Studentships for the training of Medical Missionaries The Studentships will be tenable for periods not exceeding four years The amount of them which will not in any case exceed Ā£150 year will be fixed by the Standing Committee of the Society The Standing Committee will nominate to the Studentships and the following classes will be eligible for appointments to them viz
