458 ENGINUERING ARCHITECTURE AND APPLIED SCIENCES Mechanical Engineering including Workshops and Laboratory The standard is that of the Examination at the end of the Second Year Course Part II -Two of the following subjects of the third year's Course one of which must be either β Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Architecture Metallurgy Chemical Technology Mathematics Mechanics Practical Physics Chemistry Geology and Mineralogy Candidates for the Certificate must have attende Classes in each of the subjects enumerated in Part and three at least of the subjects enumerated in Part II in each Part for not less than one full Session must have passed at the Annual Summer Examination in not less than six of the subjects of Part three of which must be Mathematics Mechanics and Physics and in two of the subjects of Part II one of which must be the Special Technical subject taken up for the Third Year Course The Certificate will be designated by the name of the technical subjects taken up in Part II viz the Certificate of Engineering 'f Architecture Metallurgy Chemical Technology as the case may be The Certificate will record the Standard attained by the Student in each of the subjects in which he is examined viz Distinction "Merit or "Pass according as the Student has passed in the 1st 2nd or 3rd Class The Certificate in Honours may be obtained by passing in at least six subjects of Part or in four in addition to the optional paper in Higher Mathematics and in at least three subjects in Part II as laid down in Rule and in addition gaining Distinction 99 in at least two subjects pr
