CIVIL SERVICE DEPARTMENT 3&5 for his Examination No student can take all these subjects few being alternative Fees These must be paid in advance -£5 per term If Student be declared successful in his Examina- tion the portion of his fee unexpired at such declaration will be returned or transferred to another Division at his own option general arrangements The Junior and Senior Sections are entirely distinct organizations Terms and Hours -There are three terms in the year beginning about the usual times in January May September and each lasting from twelve to thirteen weeks Pupils are admitted at the half-term for 5s more than half the term Hours -9 30 to 45 each day except Saturday when there is no attendance Extra Subjects Taught in the afternoon Latin is an extra subject in the Junior Section and also in the Senior Section except when taken for group of the new scheme for 2nd Division Clerkships in the Civil Service Other subjects may or may not be extra subjects according as there is or is not time for them in the morning But with the exception of Latin in the Junior Section no subject required by pupil for his Civil Service Examination is charged for as an extra subject Fees 10s per term for each subject for pupils of the Junior Section 15s for pupils of the Senior Section Individual instruction can be had in the afternoon in any of the subjects taught at the same fees Boarders -There are two Boarding Houses attached to these Classes kept by masters and therefore directly under our supervision In one for the older Students the charge exclusive of the School fee is £16 10s per term and in the other £14 10s Lodgings can be recommended where parents may be sure their sons will be well cared for and where the charge ranges from £1 Is to 15s per week For particulars apply stating age and requirements to Mr Hinks King's College London
