THE SCHOOL 381 The Exhibition is of the value of £50 per annum and is tenable for four years This Exhibition is awarded according to the results of the Midsummer Examination in linguistic knowledge Each Candidate is allowed to offer any three of the follow ing subjects English Latin Greek French German No one will be eligible who already holds an Exhibition other than an Entrance Exhibition or Scholarship in the School and no one who has not been at least one full Academical Year in the School at the time when the award is made The next Award will probably be made in July 1902 Names of Scholars 1881 Russell William 1885 Page Charles 1890 Sargent Arthur John 1894 Unwin Ralph Edward 1898 Rolt Clarence Edwin IB&gell tmf0 Science Scftolarjsjtps Founded in 1899 under the Will of Mrs Edgell Hunt who bequeathed the sum of £5 000 as benefaction from her late husband Herbert Edgell Hunt who as educated at King's College School to the Governing Body of King's College School "in order that the same may be invested by "them and the interest applied in maintaining one or more Scholarships to be called 4Edgell Hunt's Scholarship' or 16 Scholarships as the case may be to be awarded for proficiency in practical Science REGULATIONS Each Scholarship is of the annual value of £50 and is tenable for three years one Scholarship is offered for com- petition each year except in the years when the Salters5 University Exhibition falls vacant The Scholarships are open to all pupils who have been at least six Terms in the School including the Term in which the Examination is held and who were under nineteen years of age on the 1st of July preceding the Election
