DEPARTMRNT FOR LADIES 361 II Must produce proof of proficiency in study as evinced by either- Having gained the degree of at the University of London Having passed the Final examinations for women at any residential University in the United Kingdom Having passed examinations at the end of three consecutive academical years in all subjects included in either group or group ii and in one other of the five groups specified and obtained either two certificates of distinction in two distinct groups or one of distinction and four of merit at the Examina- tions for the second and third year Students held at the end of the Easter Term ι III Must unless exempted on account of conscientious objections or for some other special reason have been regular in her attendance at the Lectures in Divinity and must have passed the periodical Examinations in this subject satis factorily IV Must apply on printed form to be obtained in the College Office to the Vice-Principal not later than June 15 stating the claims and qualifications which she then possesses fee of £1 Is is charged for the Diploma VI An Associate cannot be elected Scholar or obtain Prize in the Faculty in which she gained her Associateship The groups referred to are Classics- ii Mathematics iii English Language and Literature Modern History iv Two modern languages with their literatures viz either French German Italian or Spanish IvOgic Mental and Political Philosophy
