360 department for ladies ASSOCIATESHIP ΐΑ rf יי Aw Ρ Extract from the King College London Act 1882 Associates of the College 31 Τλβ Council may also elect as Associates who are not to he as such members of the College such former Students as are duly recommended according to the existing rules or according to such rules as they from time to time make -The Council awards this distinction to women of the Ladies' Department on the recommendation of the Com- mittee of Management Privileges of Associates The privileges of Associates in the Ladies' Department are perpetual free admission to all classes forming the regular Matriculated-Students' Course in the Faculty from which they have been elected and admission to any other Class except those in Music and Art at half fees and the use of the Library of the Department under the regulations which apply to Students Regulations Faculty of Arts Every Candidate for this distinction Must have pursued her studies as Matriculated-Student of this Faculty for nine Terms This period is reduced to six Terms in the case of those who have previously passed three Terms satisfactorily in the Faculty of Science or who after leaving the College have passed the Final examinations at any residential University in the United Kingdom Students wishing to claim the advantage under clause must make written application to the Secretary at the time of entrance to this Faculty and if the claim is allowed they will be reckoned as Fourth Term Students
