DEPARTMENT FOR LADIES 359 In all Scholarships and Exhibitions in which the rules as to payment require attendance at any College or Univer- sity continuous residence or attendance is required and if such attendance be omitted in any Term or Session the Scholarship or Exhibition will be forfeited unless the Scholar or Exhibitioner notify her absence with the causes thereof to the Council either beforehand or at latest at the beginning of the Term she is intending to be absent and forward certificate of sanction for such absence from the Head of her College or the proper University authority All Scholarships and Exhibitions will be paid by Terminal instalments at the end of each Term and subject to the reception in each case of such certificates as shall be required No Scholarship or Exhibition or Prize will be awarded if in the opinion of the Examiners there is no candidate sufficiently well qualified No Prize or Certificate is given except for absolute merit It is assumed that each Student will make herself familiar with the rules and regulations laid down for her guidance in this Calendar and no Student shall be entitled to any of the privileges or benefits of Student unless she shall have duly conformed to such rules and regulations Μ Ρ Bsf ill 11 τ ן1 ι λ 'I Λ ך ו י י
