358 DEPARTMENT FOR LADIES Each Candidate for Matriculation must produce testi- monial of good character from her last instructor and when admitted by the Principal must subscribe her name to declaration that she will conform to all the rules and regula- tions which may from time to time be prescribed for the good government of the College under the sanction and authority of the Council Except by the special permission of the Vice-Principal no one is admitted Student under sixteen years of age detailed Report is sent at the end of each term to the parents or guardians of each Matriculated Student both as to her progress in particular studies and as to her general conduct ATTENDANCE AT LECTURES AND EXAMINATIONS All Students are required to be regular and punctual in attendance at Lectures and Examinations Register is kept of the attendance of Matriculated Students and referred to whenever College testimonials are required No certi- ficate of attendance upon any class will be given to any Student who absents herself from the Examination without permission or valid cause shown EXHIBITIONS SCHOLARSHIPS AND PRIZES Student being absent from the College for any Term or Session and being permitted to resume her attend- ance cannot be allowed to count the Terms or Sessions which she has already kept towards the number necessary for any Prize or Scholarship or for the Associateship unless she notifies her absence with the causes thereof to the Vice-Principal either beforehand or at latest at the beginning of the Term or Session in which she is intending to be absent and obtains sanction for such absence in writing
