DEPARTMENT FOR LADIES 345 art Scbool LIFE GLASS ANTIQUE DRAWING AND PAINTING PROFESSOR ALBERT HOLDEN Professor of Fine Arts King's College London Exhibitor Royal Academy MR THOMAS SPEIGHT Assistant Art Master Hon Visitor SEYMOUR LUCAS Esq The Studio is open from 10 till daily during Term except Saturdays Instruction is given Tuesday 11-1 Thursday 10-12 Life Glass -Painting and Drawing from models in costume The model sits on Mondays Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 till Antique Class -Study of the Antique from Casts of which there is large collection in the Studio Drawing Class -Freehand and Model Drawing Ele- mentary Pictorial Perspective Ornamental Design Shading from the cast Black and White Illustration Painting Class -Still Life and Landscape in oil and water colours Flowers and Fruit Decorative Painting Sketch Club -Figure Landscape Design and Still Life subjects for original sketches for the year are given together with dates for criticism The object of this work is to teach composition and encourage original painting This Class is free to Students working in the Studio and other Students may enter and attend the criticism upon payment of fee of 7s per term The Professor will give demonstration of Painting from the Life early in each Term which all his Students are expected to attend Prizes and Certificates are offered annually An Annual Exhibition is held in June of the year's work All materials can be obtained in the Studio
