department for ladies 295 GENERAL INFORMATION Lectures are Given and Classes are Held at 13 Kensington Square under the direction of the Council of King College London They form Department of the College and the Committee Lecturers and Teachers are appointed by the Council Students are usually admitted after the age of 16 but younger Students may attend with the special sanction of the Vice-Principal especially for musical and art instruction Matriculated Students of King's College are those admitted to the regular and full course of study prescribed in their respective Faculties and Departments All Matriculated Students are required to take the pre- scribed College examinations The Entrance Fee for Matriculated Students is £1 Is which includes subscription to the Library and cost of Calendar Matriculated Students alone are eligible for the Associate- ship of King's College and to compete for Scholarships and Endowed Prizes Non-matriculated Students can attend any Courses of Lec- tures they may select from Term to Term Students are particularly requested not to attend any of the Classes without having previously communicated with the Vice-Principal The Committee desire it to be understood that the forma- tion of any Class depends on the number of entries received Students are therefore advised to send their names to the Vice-Principal few days before the date announced for the beginning of Course The building includes General Class Rooms Laboratories Studios Music Rooms Common Room for the use of Students in which silence is observed from 10 to and Waiting Room for those who wish to remain during the in- tervals between Lectures
